This is my first dresser and did I learn a lot. It is for my new grandson coming in July and has to get shipped across the country hope it makes it okay. I got the idea from the Woodsmith Magazines Cherry Dresser. It is made from birch plywood, pine draw fronts, and a poplar top. I used a dark cherry stain for the top and knobs, and a cherry gel stain for the rest of the case. It has a couple of coats of poly on it and am in the process of adding more.

Very nice work Rob! I didn’t thing you could get the birch p/w and pine to come out so even during the staining process….. And good luck with that whole shipping process too! I’ve gotta do an Indianapolis to Houston shipment and think it may cost more than the project itself!
