Project Information

after visiting medocino i knew i had to build a krevnov inspired piece. the door is a solid coopered piece of spalted cypress my grandfather fished from the sabine river in east texas and the cabinet is canary wood. i hand carved the pulls and door catches from moaibi woood as well as cutting the smallest dovetails ive ever tried. it was painfull however all other dovetails have now become easy. solid brass knife hindges were used. it was made to hold keys and small what nots and had to fit on a sliver of wall between two doors. theres nothing like the sound of a wooden door catch.
