My first attempt at woodburning on a pen. I definitely need to get a higher quality woodburning pen. The wood I used was an Amboyna burl blank. Let me tell you how hard it is to burn on a small rounded object… I attempted a tree on the lower half and a heart with my husband’s and my initials.

I really like it. It gives me a nostalgic feeling. It reminds me of how a young couple would carve their initials and hearts into trees. I bet your husband loves it.

I almost gave up on woodburning until I got a really nice burner. It’s like night and day & if you plan on doing quite a bit of it, you owe it to yourself. I’ve got the Detail Master Excaliber which was around $350 with the box but to be honest, I almost never use the second wand. So functionally I have the Sabre which is only around $180. It’s well worth the money, in my opinion.
