This is gong to be my new carving tool tote. It is made from Spalted maple and walnut. The handle is walnut as well. This was supposed to be a chapeau box for my Knights of Columbus regalia, but the wood cupped in the wrong spot so I modified it. The hinges I had laying around and the finish is tung oil. Thanks to Jockmike2 for the walnut and the help in getting it started.

Turned out real nice Rick, I think it looks better than the other one we started. Good job.

It’s a wonderful toolbox.
Full of life, and soon full of wonderful tools.
What more can we wish for?
Best thoughts,

I looked at the top this past weekend and found some interesting patterns. One looked like an eagle head, another looked like a duck, and a fox or gator.
