This is my first attempt at some fine woodworking. It’s a coffee table for a friend. The table legs are some old mahogany that I found in the basement when we moved. It had some rust stains, so I lightened them with oxalic acid. The apron and rails are cedar boards that I reclaimed from the attic. The through tenons took alot of work, but were totally worth it in the end. The tabletop and stretcher are some beautiful black walnut.

I had to plane and square everything from rough cut and weather beaten lumber. It was a learning experience, but I loved every minute of it.
