This TV Stand is one that my friend wanted custom built to match the bookcases that you can see on the other two sides. This particular piece was available from Crate and Barrel, but he wanted it widened over what they had. So, my friend took measurements of his bookcase and we built it in Ohio and then finished the assembly in Michigan. All in all, this went pretty well and matched up nicely with the bookcases when we got it all put together.
As for construction, the boxes are edge-banded plywood and the support pieces are made from poplar. Pretty much everything was put together with pocket screws so that it could be disassembled and reassembled 200 miles away.
While this technically is not a “completed” project since the finish is not done, this is as far as I’ll be taking the project, as my friend will be finishing it. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out though and he was pleased as well.
