I decided to change my style a little on one box. I have seen many nice boxes here with feet. Big Leaf Maple Burl and Curly Maple. 8” x 5” x 6”. A quick wash with BLO and then Watco Danish Oil. The Burl came from John Ormsby in Sac. ( another nice piece John) the side wood came from Allen at MilwaukeeWoodworks The second box is Spalted Beech, also from Allen. It is about 10” x 7” x 5”. Watco on this too.

You have a great eye for selecting interesting and complimentary woods!! That spalting is absolutely eye-popping!! Nice choice.

I look at a couple of sites every day to see what wood is being offered for sale. I end up paing a bit for shipping, but I have found some people who are cutting some beautiful wood. I need to have some good sales at craft shows this spring and summer so i can buy some more. Or I could use PINE. (Maybe Birdseye Pine!!) Thanks for the comments. I like to share what I have found and hopefully the work is okay too.
