This is my first post to make on LJ. I haven’t posted anything yet because I really thought nothing I have done could compare to the outstanding work here, but I will start posting and see where it goes.
My wife had some knitted swatches approximately 12 in square, and wanted to sew them together with yarn to make our dog a blanket, but she needed a needle with an oversized eye. So, instead of driving to Hobby Lobby, 30 minutes both ways, I decided to make one for her. I chose spanish cedar partly because it’s soft enough to work and also because I have an abundant supply of it. Just plain hands on shaping for about thirty minutes and necessity proved to be just what the carpenters wife ordered. Thanks for looking, and I promise to start posting more of my work here. I look forward to any comments.

Beautiful job. Start posting your projects you will get lots of encouragement. Just look at mine. I am not a master craftsman by any means.

Looks good, keep the posts coming!

Your wife may require additional items made….
BEWARE, you have entered dangerous waters! Hope that this “Eye of the Needle” doesn’t turn out to actually be the “Eye of the Storm”! Lol.

Amazing. I would struggle to work that small these days, but you really did a great job.

Welcome to LJs.

It may seem like a small or insignificant project from your perspective but it means the world to the woman who loves you. Keep posting projects and comments because you never know who you might encourage. Posting is a great way to build into the lives of other LJ members. It also gives others the opportuniuty to build you up. Thanks for being a witness to the truth.

Don’t be shy. Put photo’s on the board. If they accepted mine they’ll take any-ones :-)

If you had put another penny in the picture, you could have titled it “my two cents worth”. (groan)

Darn nice job.
