Made this picture silhouette of women out of 1/4 ” plywood, dyed the wood and put a topcoat of black enamel over it. Wish I had not put the enamel over it now. But to late. The silhouette measures 11 X 8 3/4 inches.
This took me 3 days to cut out. No they weren’t 8 hour days. I’m retired!

Nice Job! I agree it would have looked better with out the enamel. However, you never know until you try. I cut most of my portrait style scroll work in 1/8” baltic birch ply and stack cut two or three layers. Especially if I am planning on doing something different or new. I will have a couple extra pieces to work with. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Guys, I may try the 1/8 ” Baltic Birch. I was using 1/4” Chinese plywood, trying to use it up.

Well done fret work. The level of detail is great, the fingers the blades of grass, very nice work.

Great work. I love it. Are you planning to do anymore?

That is nice…it’s going to take me three days just to look at all the detail.

As said before I like scroll-sawing and do it while the glue or paint is drying on another project. It gives me a chance to set down for a while. Just not as young as I once was, that is not a bad thing, as the alternative is much worse.
