a gift for a loved one

me wifey and I just returned from costa rica a few weeks back and this is a bees nest that developed outside of our door. The first picture was taken on monday and the second was taked on thursday. When we got home thurs night the landlord had knocked it down for us and me wifey being the frugal person that she is said “we can give that to DJ she likes that kind of stuff” we had no problem getting this nest through customs however her cut flowers got some questions
The box is made of red wood then clear coated with laquor. It is the first real shadow box that I have made and actually I like it enough to do another. I am really proud of how my mitered corners turned out, I guess my saw does cut straight
