This is a walnut bowl I made a while back. I got a request for a much needed Christmas present on the evening of Dec 23rd. LOL What I wont do for people. Anyway I carved it out mostly with a small air grinder, sanded and oiled it up and had it ready on the 24th. A little rough but it filled the bill.

I like it. I have been thinking about carving a bowl myself. What kind of air grinder did you use? How big is the bowl?
Thanks for sharing

The bowl is about 11 inches. I used a small right angle air grinder with sanding disc attachment that used the threaded sanding discs. I did drill a series of holes around it and chiseled out the center quit a bit first. I cut the outside angle on the bandsaw. I don’t know what angle I used, I just flopped the table and cut. Thats the best thing about freestyle work, you can just do what feels right at the time and it usually is the right choice.
