Hello all and thanks for the warm welcome! I’m a beginning woodworker, and this is my first post. This box in my second attempt at box joints (uneven numbers just don’t look right). The box has many flaws, and I learned alot.
The wood is poplar, with a mahogany lid, and a walnut pull. It is finished w/linseed oil and wax. Thanks for looking.

Well done. And good to see your work here. Hope to see more from you.

That is an excellent first to announce your membership. If you did a “box” search on LJs, you would find that your box’s results, are in the top of the running. Great job, and welcome.

This is a great beginning to box making. I can’t wait to see what you turn out with a little more practice.

Looks good Nikki.

I am a symmetrical guy, that´s why I do prefer uneven joints,. there is always one in the middle.
Welcome to LJ´s
