Hi Mike.
Very nice, a frame really adds to a picture. I noticed a coincidence, but your frame looks exactly like my frame on the Moose Hunter carving, except mine is unpainted.

I’m thinking of all that money I spent buying frames for my photography… from here on in, I will have to make my own—really adding to the personal value of the photos
thanks for the inspiration

That’s why I took my address off of my workshop, cause i have picture frames all over. I actually thought that people would put me on the map making picture frames but no such luck. I use two differnt router bits and they make a great frame.
I put them on my picture frame page

I know that people tend to be rather dismissive of picture frames. They’re easy to make – right? WRONG!
Unless you have machinery specifically designed for frame making, they can be quite difficult. Cutting four accurate miters give you eight chances to mess up. It’s easy to glue the first three together without a gap – but it’s that last dang miter that gets you every time.
And then there’s the matter of a joint that is inherently weak. End-grain to end-grain does not a good joint make.
So, Mike, hats off to you!
