Hi all !
I was inspired by the gut are on a scroll saw sight and made a pattern of my own and it looks like this pic that I down loaded. I like cutting patterns with pictures like this one of the two ducks. The wooden duck below I made my own pattern and did two compound cuts to make the duck . My friend just landed a job at the hospital and so I made a cedar medical sign for him as a gift with my scroll saw and dermal. I got the moose pattern out of my scroll saw magazine and cut it with my scroll saw and use the moose for my eye glasses at night. The two giraffes are a compound cut and are fun to make as well as rewarding to give as gifts to impress friends . The scroll saw bread basket was a learning piece for me. I made little wedges to hold each rib together to the side frames. I learned what type of oil to put on it so it would be food safe. Thanks for looking at my work.

Jeff Mullen .

Hi Jeffery, I liked your guitar and also all of the other pieces too. My favorite is the moose.

Hi Jeff – I like the guitar the most. I have not tried 3-D cutting yet but it is on my list. Nice work on all.

The guy that special ordered the guitar wanted it to have a spoon rest on it as well so I made a little dip at the end where the strings would be tightened. I never dreamed up this one He just told me what he wanted and I made the coffee coaster for him. He loves it.

I got the moose design out of a scroll saw magazine. The horns where a little bit of a challenge as they are a compound cut out of a block of 2×4 pine wood. It takes a powerful scroll saw to cut them. I love putting my glasses on the moose at night. I have a few Christmas orders for the moose to get done when I can.
The bread basket was a challenge for me to try to figure out how to put it together. It was easy to cut out with my scroll saw. I made little wedges to put in each hole at the ends to make the ribs hold together.

Sorry guys I was thinking of the guitar coffee coaster I made when I wrote back to you. The guitar picture you see took me a few tries to get it right with the pattern I made for it. It is a compound cut on my scroll saw.

Have your say...
