I just finished a dressing mirror for Ronda (my wife). I generally used the plans from a later Wood magazine. To cut the flutes I used a newly installed Jessem Rout R Lift for my router table and am very happy with it (so far). The joints all are simple pocket screw butt joints. Overall very simple to make and it shows very nicely.
