I was contracted by the City of Dover DE to build a pair of large wooden scissors for the mayor to use during ribbon cutting ceremonies, so here they are. Made of solid Oak, they are 35” tall and 11.5” wide at the handles. They open and close smoothly. The finish is a black walnut satin stain and a satin hand rub poly. Thanks for looking!

Maybe they should have had them made to cut through the red tape. :~) Really very nice and very cool that they asked you to make it for the Mayor

I am new to the website. I signed up because I would like to make large working wooden scissors. Are patterns and or directions available? Thank you!
