Heard a s.a. remark that you can’t put real flowers into water in these so calle segmented vases, I could only find one suitable glass vase (pics 3.4) and settled for a couple of tall beer glasses and tried to produce something to fill the bil. Here are three of my efforts.

I haven’t figured out yet why people seem so obsessed with putting water in our segmented work!
nice thinking on your part though!

Very nice looking bowls, I am slowly learning how to do segmented bowls, should succeed in another ten
years or so. I can understand using water to wash beer glasses, but using them to hold water does not
make any more sense than using segmented bowls to hold water, the next thing you know you will be
drinking water instead of beer.LOL. Thank you for sharing.

You are doing great!!! These are all very nice. Love them. I just LOVE the look of these with how you place the wood together. Super sharp looking.

Thanks for the comments, come on Branch me giving you lessons. Don’t worry Gus the glsseses can still hold beer just makes it awkward drinking.

Nice work Bob. You can put water in a segmented vessel coated with Epoxy (thick Glassy coat). Think Epoxy finished boats.

Cute idea, if they were really wanting to use them as live flower vases, they could have put shot glasses in the bottoms.

Very nice turning.
