I’ve been doing a bunch of pens and things that haven’t been worth posting, but I felt this pen would be enjoyed by those who appreciate wood for what it can do by itself.

I left the images large so you can enjoy the details nearly as much as I do.

Mighty fine pen. Is it CA/BLO finish?

boy Gary, those lamintations look great… wait a minute… that’s just a single piece of wood!!
Looks great!

Rikkor, I could be wrong but I don’t think Gary likes BLO on his pen finishes, I believe it’s straight CA and micromesh.

Thanks guys. Rik, it’s a CA finish rubbed out with Novus and topcoated with pure carnuba wax.
Darryl, you like that segmentation?!? ;-)
I’m still tryin’ to count the growth rings per inch on the tight section but it’s they’re too small to see. ;)
I love heart pine and antique heart pine is the best of it.

Cheers,
Gary
