This is my first cutting board, end grain maple with a end grain cherry points in the center. I originallly cut the points figuring I would make a rectangle with the points facing the side, just for fun I figured I would check to see if they would roll up into a circle, and to my suprise, they did, very lucky, so I glued it uo and cut it into a square, then started using my maple scraps. everything was glued up un a piece of hardboard, with a screw center in the middle, then I turned it, used a drill chuck and forstner bit to get the hole in the middle started. Turned a maple dowel to fit the hole, leaving a big fat end that would fit my chuck so I could flip it and turn away the hardboard. I made tihs to compliment the knife block I made last month. Finished with mineral oil, thisty sucker.

Honestly the pinwheel was a mistake, just a gift from the Gods.
