4th Axis Indexer has four gears and a gear ratio of 40 to 1. The three gears are cut from Corian plastic and the 4th gear is Aluminum. Corian plastic is used on counter tops. Body for the gear box is made from ¾” plywood and so is the frame. The 4th Axis indexer is used for cutting 3D projects on a CNC machine.

Never thought of making gears from Corian. Where did you get the motor? and how much holding power does it have?

We (I) need to see/hear about your CNC machine. I’ll provide the “Q’s” if you’ll provide the “A’s”.

Q1: work envelope?
Q2: Structural componets; 80/20, steel, MDF?
Q3: R&P, Ballscrew, Acme (size & # of starts)?
Q4: Steppers, Servos? Holding torque?
Q5: Electronics; Gecko, Probotix, Xylotex?
Q6: Mach3, EMC2, CAD, CAM?
Q7: Do you have a build log anywhere?
Q8: Are you a “Zoner”? (www.cnczone.com)

Really do need to see some pictures. (PLEASE!)

It looks cool and interesting, but way over my head; or are they speaking English?

Is that a classic fragmentation grenade I see being made on the machine?

Looks like somebody else is ex service.
