Ive been wanting to make myself a small box to hold my shoe shining polish and brush and cloth, so i made this little box made of walnut and salvaged oak. i also made a piece that is attached to the top where the can of polish sits inside, that way i can get the polish on my cloth without the can moving around, and on the inside i put a piece to separate the space so the cans of polish are separate from the brush and cloth. i made a handle for the box out of red cedar that sit inside some holds made from curly maple and the end of the lid is spalted oak that in set into a datto.the finish on the box is BLO with 2 coats of bri wax. thank you for looking and for your comments…grizzman

Looks good grizz! I haven’t worn a shoe that requires polish for years!

How cool !
Well thought out. Plenty o’details—typical of your work.
And beautifully executed !
I’ll be UPS-ing down a couple pair of my size 11’s. I’d appreciate quick turn-around LOL !

Lovely trip down memory lane Grizz, nice. BTW, you are not considering a part time job in the Mall, are you?

There is only one thing worse than having a dirty shoe:
Wearing both shoes dirty.
Nice and tidy box Grizz.

I think it’s a great idea – especially the holder. Even if it seems everyone has abandoned shoes… Many of us cannot avoid boots if we still expect to go outside in the winter!
