After finishing the attic (making the new master bedroom) I had to make a new bed. The bed that I had made 11 years earlier would not fit along the short attic walls. Wood: Spruce.
I didn’t have a plan for this build. I saw a photo of something similar on the Internet, that combined with the picture I had in my head resulted in this. Obviously, the dimensions were built around the size of the mattress set and the height of the knee wall. The slat sections were bought complete, they were being sold as doors for wall locker type units at the home store. I bought bed-specific hardware from Rockler.
