After making and used my tablesaw tune-up gauge, I realized that I could use it at the router table to adjust the fence, as shown, using a small clamp. Since the router bit is centered to the fence, I only have to move one end of the fence twice the distance I want from the bit. Ex. If I want to move the fence back 1/16’’ away from the bit, I must push the fence 1/8’’ at one end. Great and very precise!
Best,
Serge

Simple jigs are the best. The only problem is… having the idea. Great idea. I need that jig – at once and now.

You did spark my imagination with these jugs. A big part of the reason I come to this web site is for inovative ideas like yours. After seeing your first table saw jig I realized that I could just clamp the caliper to my table saw miter (I had to use a couple of wood spacers) and accomplish the same thing without a jig. I went right out to the shop and tried it.
I like jigs that make work easier but after a while they start to clutter up my already crowded shop.

@ LesB: You’re right, the more jigs in the shop, the more crowded it is. However, when I design and make my own jig, it’s no longer only a jig, it’s a trophy and/or a treasure! ¦:-) And this website it the place to share them all.
Best,
Serge
