Need: carrying case for new laptop.
Have: some 1/4” E. Red Cedar.
Result: cool laptop case for a lumberjock!!

The top is 1/4” birch ply. All glue ups are with epoxy and entire panels covered with epoxy, finished with lacquer. learnin2do, yea that handle is the weak point, however it’s not as bad as the photo makes it look; don’t know where that lavender color came from, it’s brown.

Originally I was going to use Bloodwood, but decided that it didn’t have enough wood character to make the point. The Cedar certainly does and is a bit lighter in weight as well.
