This one started out as an entry in the 2×4 contest then realized that it could be entered here as well. So here goes.

I just finished looking over the rest of the entries in the box contest and realized a couple of things. First is I didn’t need to post it as a second project to enter it in both contests, DOH! and second, I could have saved a couple of electrons and left it out. There are some mind blowing boxes in this contest. I’m going to struggle casting my votes here.

One project, two entries. They call that ROI – Return on Investment. A good box and great use of a 2×4.

Nice job with the 2×4. I like how you crossed over between both categories. looks good. I like how the wide grain of the fir looks.

Very nice, & being a dual entry, makes it that much better.

Hey Shaun. Beautiful 2×4 and great little box. You might already know that I just love any small wooden box.

Nice way to display the grain in the pine. I made a similar box in high school (early 70’s) out of poplar w/ walnut stain to put my cassette tapes in. I think I finally tossed it a couple years ago. Thanks for the comment on my jewelry cases. I really like your table project, too.
