I too had to make some of Andy’s palm boxes. These are made out of cherry, oak, hemlock, and purple heart. I didn’t shape the purple heart on as the the more I sanded it the browner it became. These are very addicting. The finish is a spray poly. Thanks for looking and thanks to Andy for a great tutorial.

Nice Boxes they are addicting I have made about 25 or so. The purple heart will turn brown after sanding or cutting it but in a few days it will usually come back to its original color.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Thanks Stormin this is the first time I have used Purple Heart and the color changing was a little strange to me.
