This is a box that I got out of a Wood Magazine book that was at our local library here in NC. I made a few changes to make it mine and was happy with how it turned out.
The wood is Caribbean Rosewood and some wood that I got from a pallet. Not sure what it is but it reminds me of Maple. It has some worm holes in it and it looks as if the wood had died in that area, which created some really nice streaks in it. I have lightened up one of the photos (#3) to show the worm holes.
This is my first bandsaw box. My wife had gotten me a new 17” Grizzly for my birthday last month, and of course I had to make a bandsaw box. I think it will be one of many, as they are fun to make. Actually, I have several more in the works and I will post them as I finish them.

Thanks for checking this out.

Nice Chuck. You´ll better build once a month before your wife repents of that wonderful present.

Look forward to seeing those

Very nice!
I’m pretty sure thats Ambrosia Maple. The streaks are caused by a worm. You can see the worm hole most times. Question: how did you cut the diveder for the front tray to size?

I traced the shape of the front tray and then sanded, and then sanded a little more, and sanded a little more, until I had a nice fit.

Thanks for checking it out.

I really like this one, very nice, I’m about to venture into hinged lids myself after doing my line of mens valet bandsaw boxes kind of got me on that track.
