This is my first attempt at French Polishing. It’s a figured Maple top that measures 18×24. The picture doesn’t do it justice!

Thanks…I used General Finish’s water based dye stain in Vintage Cherry.

It appears that you could have bookmatched the top by rotating one board , but this looks great too : )

I actually tried to book match it but it is from the same board. If I were to flip the other board, I would have shown some darker grain on the other side and I would have lost the effect I have now.
