Burr Puzzle #2

Took a couple hours and built 2 burr puzzles. They are deceptively simple in appearance, but surprisingly complicated. Lots of fun to watch people attempt to take apart and even more fun to watch them try to put back together again. The first one is sitting on my desk at work, taunting people…

For those who are curious, the wood is mahogany finished with a coat of tung oil. Also built another out of some scraps of oak. I got the idea from http://www.research.ibm.com/BurrPuzzles/B6JW5F143.html

Yes I agree… after attempting (stress on the word attempting) to make several and seeing the plethora of pages devoted to them.
hard to make symetrical on anything but a very precise jig.
nicely done.
