These are some shutters that i built for a local builder,They are built of 5/4 decking they are glued and screwed together and they have biscuits in them too.
The last picture was built for another local builder his were built out of 2×6 T G. They were a lot heavier but they turned out real nice He was the only one that stained them.There were 10 sets on the last house but that is the only one that was visible to the road.Sorry it is so far

Those are nice, they really work or at least look like they do. I’ve made simmilar shutters for an apartment job but were fake ones. Thought it was going to be a good gig. But after making a boatload of them and setting them aside for the painter, I returned to set them and discovered many of them missing. Guess somebody got them some nice fence panels.

They come real close but the way the hinges mount they overlap in the middle.I do make them to close tight but they did not care that they shut they just leave them open all the time. I can not stand a thief but for some one to steal like that is terrible.
