From the movie The Other Guys. The “ceremonial use” wooden pistol was modeled after the Glock 19, but this one is loosely modeled after the Smith and Wesson M&P 40. Allen Gamble’s first “desk pop” winds him up with a wooden pistol until “Gator” can get his “gat” back. All in fun and good humor, it provided me with some amusement so I thought I would share it with you… Made from scraps of black walnut and finished with linseed oil.

Great reproduction. The black one looks almost like a real gun. Nice carving.

It looks real enough to get you shot at around here. Good work.

travisowenfurniture,

I used a cutoff scrap with a large knot in the center of the board. The grain pattern was created by the knot.

Wow, you must have really cared about it if you polished it and sealed it with linseed oil!
