I have had more belly laughs on these canes then any thing I make. Who buys 90% of these canes. Wives for there husbands and daughters for their fathers. Have a good laugh too. PS There is around 1400 pieces in each cane.

Finally something truly useful for us Duffers. Very cool but I think you could use a few more pieces on them. Do they come with their own Urinal Pucks?

Rick: I figured I would get a response from Texas. Texas people have a unique sense of humor. I have shipped more canes to Texas then any other state. I bet you get a lot of support from that other half. Mine has been my friend for 75 years and my wife for 65. Aren’t they great. I am happy for you.

Roy;

I received mine from an old friend about 35 years ago and, to this day, it is still a conversation piece in our office at the ranch. It is especially fun when someone picks it up, turns it over & over and finally has to ask “what the hell is this?”

Mine is made of Texas Mesquite but, not nearly as ornate as the ones, you make.

Welcome to Lumberjocks and Thanks for sharing your “Montana Boot Savers.”

P.S. : Please give your Governor Butch Otter and Linda a hello, they are friends of mine.

Hey Viking, we just got Roy here in Montana, quit trying to move him to Idaho, or did they steal him when
no one was looking. Great idea for a cane and I really like that poem, reminds me of few others I have
heard over the years, but thanks to a bad memory, I will not be able to inflict them on Lumberjocks. I can
see that they would be a good attention getter. Thank you once again for sharing your humor and
woodworking skills. Viking, just read your note as I posted mine, I apologize for for denigrating a Texan.
My beautiful lady used to play drums with a band at Gilly’s and the Longhorn and has many fond memories
of Texas style barbecue, which I have not been able to duplicate.

Gus;

Like I said ...... I am a dumbass!

Spent a lot of time in Northern Montana late 70’s early 80’s drilling oil / gas wells up around Cut Bank area.

Don’t know Brian Schweitzer though. HA!

Rick: Join the club. The other day I run into a acquaintance from long ago and couldn’t remember his name. When I ask he said in a rather disgusting way JONES. We’ll just say your wife distracted you.

Gus: I gave a lot of thought about posting the cane but but my forever encouraging wife said she sees only three letters not four but of course at 85 there is still a little of the devil in her.

Roy, I think there is just enough of the devil in both of you to make life interesting and to keep you
both growing together, thank you for sharing your wonderful lives with us.

Hi Gus:
Life has been wonderful but I have to give credit to my ever supporting wife. When your wife and children place you one step behind God it sure makes you stretch to meet their visions. Now for an example. When we lived in Panama we went to the water front to buy bananas and oranges,(You could buy a monkey to if you wanted) Recardo’s parking lot was about four blocks from the street market. I always put my camera case in the trunk when parking there. Recardo was a OK fellow. We had gotten our Bananas and Oranges and put them in the trunk, retrieved the camera case and put it in the seat between us. When I pulled up to enter traffic I always looked left and she looked right and if there was an OK I went. I was looking left and all of a sudden there was a scuffle beside me and when I looked over I discovered(how should I say this) a man of color half through the right window trying to grab my camera case. Apparently He had already suffered one left punch to the nose as she was bring her doubled up fist back for a second and even got a third in before he could get away. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I had been married to her 25 years at time and I didn’t even know that was in her. Her comment was nobody is going to steal you camera. I’ll bet he never told a sole that a little lady punched him out.
