Two-tiered box. The upper level lid is hinged with hidden pins, and the lower level has a simple slide-out drawer. Both are lined with dark green velvet. Box is made from hickory with walnut splines and accents.. Approx. 5×5 x 5 inches and finished with spray poly.

That is a nice looking box. I like the splines on the lower part and drawer, must have took some time to get right.

Another new and interesting lift and pull!!! The shape reversal is thoughtful. I really like stacked boxes, and this one with the drawer is a nice variation. I hope you choose to do more on this theme. How about a three-stack? ...or a four-stack?? In all events, it’s a lovely box.

Do you have a table saw to cut the splines? I don’t have such and tend to use pinned or dovetails instead.
Nice looking box. I made a piece in hickory recently, but got a bit tired of re-sharpening my tools.
