If you’re going to turn plates and bowls, pretty soon you realize you need a way to display them!

These are based on a plan from the July 1983 edition of The Woodworker’s Journal.

These are made from maple left over from resawing 4/4 stock to get 1/2” boards for some drawer boxes. I planed them to 1/4”, and made a hardboard template (I suspect I’ll need more copies of them in the not too far distant future … just need to acquire a lathe!).

Both the plates and the stands look very good Gerry.

Beautiful platters and fantastic looking holders. Nice idea.

Nice stand. I need to build something similar for a wooden disc I’m making.
