This is a floating top desk made of solid walnut with zebrawood drawers. The top is book matched and the base is all mortise and tennon Joinery. Fun project to make and was my first try at hand cut dovetails.

Beautiful desk. The bookmatch top really shows on the 4th picture. Too bad being a desk it will always have somehting on it so it will probably go unnoticed by most.

Beautiful! The combination of walnut & zebra wood is spectacular. I’d never have the heart to put anything on it – I agree it’s a shame to cover any of it up!

Very cool. That wood is beautiful. My favorite pic is the 3rd pic of the end. I like how the legs stop short of the top.
