Some lidded boxes

I turned these out while playing around at home. The first two pics are of a lidded box made from Mesquite. The next three are of a lidded box made from a branch of a butternut tree from my mom’s place. The third of these pics is the inside of the lid where I played a bit with a new texturing toy. The last pic is another lidded box turned from Mesquite. All were sanded to 320 grit, polished with PSI EEE and finished with Mylands.

Beautiful turnings, you should try your texture tool on the outside, looks great.

I like these. The wood is beautiful and so are the boxes.

Thanks for the nice comments. The texture tool will be used on the outside of a project soon. Figured I’d try it out where it wouldn’t show to much first.
