I was in Oklahoma and found a couple box turtles and decided to bring them home to my boys not really thinking about the fact that I did not have a house for them, so I threw this together out of some nice 1×2’s that I found at Home Depot with pocket holes. The backs are just melamine pegboard so it didn’t get moldy and smelly and the front pieces are nice thick acrylic, leftover from a failed hot dog cart project.

Awesome, dude. I had two box turtles that I found on my lawn for years and kept them in a 30 gallon terrarium. How big are the turtles? Mine were about the size of a fifty cent piece when I found them and even the 18×30 cage was too small.
