I built this shelf for my 7 year old son to put his Mario and Luigi collection of toys on. The shelf is a simple 3/8 plywood that took about a weekend to build. That was followed by about 2 weeks of painting. The whole shelf has several layers of a spray poly on it to protect the painting. The pipes in the lower shelves are made out of some larger dowels that are glued into place.

Very nice job.
