I love the deep, natural brown of Peruvian walnut. It’s softer and darker than American walnut. It also brings a lot of warmth to an otherwise very ‘cool’ painting. The aluminum is simply flat stock from home depot that I sander with an oscillating sander for some texture. The finish is a nice and simple linseed oil and wax.

Very nice, the aluminum is a nice compliment to the walnut. Excellent job.

Excellent use of different materials. I haven’t seen this combination before but it works well with this piece.
