This is a bit different than my previous “negative space designs” , but I needed a different direction for my tired old brain. This wall sculpture is 9 1/2 & 8 and is dyed black and I used a silver pen to color the slots. Many folks have said it has an asian flair, and one fella said it was pure Santa Fe…all I know is while I was making it, I couldn’t get that old t.v. program The Cisco Kid, out of my mind. He wore all black with tons of silver accents!
Hope ya’ll enjoy this piece.

Very nice! I’d say Asian, since anything from the native peoples would be earth colors…which could be another iteration on the same design.

Very fanlike and thats probably why people think asian. Me on the other hand, being contrary, think Aztec. Very nice all the same.

Looks really cool. I like it when somebody makes something that’s not suppose to do anything but look good. You have made the world a little better place to be this morning.

Cool! A Cisco Kid fan wheel. It does have a nice flair of both Asian and southwestern. But then, I’ve seen African masks that also look Asian. It may be a smaller world than we think, as our ancestors could be related.

I originally saw the Asian flair in it but now that you mention TV… kind of reminds me of the old NBC peacock. No matter how it’s interpreted it is a spectacular piece! The coloring suits it!
