A big thanks goes out to DMcKay for this idea. Wish I had a shop teacher like that as a kid. A quick build and a lot of fun. Gave it to my dad for his birthday so he can chase the grandkids around. A note of caution though – this thing will leave a welt on someone…...just ask my brother. haha

nice! I had a few of these as a kid, they shot elastic bands with small pieces of metal attached though…

Load it with gold balls and see if it leaves a bigger welt :)

At first I thought you were using GOLF balls and thought ‘Man that would hurt!’ then I looked a little closer :-)

An interesting use of rubber bands! Favourited!

I guess I forgot to mention how FAST the ping pong balls actually launch… Definitely not for the timid. I’m sure Grandpa will have many hours of fun with that around. As far as the welt goes… well that’s what brothers are there for. He probably deserved it for something he did in the past.

I have to make one of these to use around the office. I already have sniper locations picked out. LOL.

DMcKay, I believe it was Socrates who said, basically, “Punish your son every day. You won’t know why, but he will.”

Note that I do not ascribe to this, as my sons are actually pretty well-behaved, given what a hellion their father was, growing up.

Have your say...
