This is only the second time I used this shopsmith lath which my best friend loaned me for as long I needed it. The clubs are made of crape myrtle and the longer dark bat is sinker cypess and the other bat is pecan. Oh, and the one on the lath is sycamore. The wood worms ate holes and grooves in the pecan and alot of the bark shows but it has character.

One coonass to another – well done. Lathes can be addictive. There is a definite learning curve, but it’s all about practice and learning – oh, and sharp tools. Glad to have a fellow Louisiana woodworker on the site.
