This is a shed I built in two weeks with the help of one of my boys. It is 8’ X 8’ with 7’ walls. It has 16” on center wall studs, floor and ceiling joists. I made the roof with a lot of overhand to help with water. Everything stays good and dry inside. I decided to make a shed after pricing the kits at the home stores. I plan on taking this with us when we move and adding a couple of windows to it for a potting shed for my wife. I also put a built in work bench wiht peg board behind it. I added the trellis behind the shed and planted a climbing vine and also four boxwood. The trellis is made from cedar decking that I sliced up and screwd together.

I love this! You’re timing is pefect, because I have some friends that are going to help me build a small one for garden tools and my mower. Yours has great details I never would have thought of, like the vents and the trellis. I promise I’ll give you all the credit for the ideas I steal – lol. You’re right, the ones at the big box stores are junk for the $$. Yours looks fantastic!

Great idea and well done. working with your son must have been great. How much did you save? Everytime we save a bunch of money doing something ourselves we celebrate & buy a new tool! Great work.
