Hockey Bed

That looks great. Do you have any more pictures you could post? Do you have plans for this? What are the sticks made out of in the headboard? Is the net plastic or metal. I may have to make one of these for my nephew. Thanks

Thanks guys!! Hey Tom this was relatively easy to construct. Its a basic bed with the hockey sticks made of 4×4’s sanded with black paint for the tape then lacquered. the pipes for the foot bed were the thickest PVC i could find and despite my attempts to keep two boys from crawling all over it, the pvc has held up really well. The hardest part was threading the net thru holes drilled on the inside of the pvc and thats the only thing they have ripped out as evident from the one pic (definitely need to reinforce the net ends) either way i had fun making it and its helped on several occasions to get the boy to actually want to go to sleep on his “hockey bed” :)

I was going to make a headboard out of hockey sticks, but this is really cool! (My son kept taking the sticks to play street hockey with the neighborhood LOL)

C’mon – you sleep in it, don’t you? I would… That’s really cool. I’m a hockey player and would’ve loved something like that as a kid – nice job!
