Just to share what I have been working on. This is a panel my husband made for me and it’s been a big project with all the differant angles going on. The panel is 33 inches high X 29 inches wide and 2 inches thick. Today I worked on getting the deeper parts going and then back and forth a million times. But it’s been interesting that’s for sure.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks for sharing Krum.
Tell me if I’m right, it looks kind of like Birch, or is it just the lighting ? It looks like it’s coming along nice. Is that for another door ?

No Dick it’s basswood. I forgot to add that, sorry! No this is just a panel for a wall. Hopefully NOT my wall! Right now I have my mantels on display at the Cohasset Mill & Lumber. Will be the adding this panel there if I can get it done.

this is amazing and I hope there will be more of this, creating a “step by step” journal for us.

I find this fascinating, how you bring a piece of wood to life.

Thanks for looking and the nice comments. I have pretty much kept the pics of progress Debbie. But I can’t figure out how to put them here! Do I just add them to my project pages? This panel has been all hand carved. I only used (tried anyways) hogging some of the middle out but was to much for me to handle. So I did it myself. Didn’t like all the dust either!
