Thought I’d show you how I attack a piece of found wood in this case Arbutus.
Starting with pic 2, I cut the stump into a manageable piece, sketch a rough outline of a boot pic 3 with idea from old boot in pic 1. Then comes the bandsaw and away we go. Cut, cut , cut and grind and end up with a boot as in pic 1. This one start to finish was 3 hours. It still requires some spit and polish and we are done. Enjoy!

I think boots are going to need their own category. It’s crazy how real they all look. I saw moccasin I could not believe it was wood. Yours is the same way it looks like leather.very cool.
