First of all, yes… this is inspired by John ( Extreme Birdhouses ). I saw the show on Animal Planet with his houses in it and had to try to make one myself. The wood ( pine ) is mostly from pallets I got from work. It measures about 2 foot square.

Awesome. What kind of finish and what kind of birds?

I just zoomed in on the second picture and saw the sneak. I hope that isn’t a surprise for the birds.

Great job. Love the “sneak” as spunwood mentioned. I had to zoom in to see for myself.

Thanks, everyone. Spunwood, I finished it late summer so there haven’t been any birds in it yet. It should draw sparrows. I coated it with a waterproofing sealer. My cat wouldn’t stay out of it while I was building it. He’s my mouse killer and self appointed landlord.

I actually had a cat catch a mouse in one of my birdhouses one time .
I had a few birdhouses sitting on the floor and i guess a mouse decided to go in and when he popped his head out the cat got him ! :-)
