The sawdust was flying again this weekend in the workshop. I needed a clock for my office at the daytime gig so I figured that I would make one for myself. I constructed this using some left over walnut and maple. The hands and mechanical part came from a Michael’s craft store. It measures 8” wide by 15” tall and has a few coats of spray lacquer applied.

It was a lot of fun to make. All comments are welcome. Enjoy!

Nice, clean simple lines…. sharp looking clock!

I like the clean, simple geometric lines here!

Now, if you could just figure out a way to make the bottom part into a swinging pendulum….

Very nice.
I like the hands for a Colonial design , but wonder if straight , tapered hands would be more fitting with this clock design ?

Thanks for all the great comments everyone!

Dusty – I see what you mean about the hands. I’ll shop around a little more the next time I make one of these.
