Two weeks ago i ordered some rasps. The rasps were delivered without handles. This was no problem because i like making my own. The handles are made out of walnut and brass rings. The schwertfisch rasps work very good. I’m not sure where they can be ordered in America but i order mine at Dick Feine Werkzeuge. That’s a german company which sells a lot of nice woodworking stuff. In the netherlands we only have one store who sells all the good stuff but they didn’t have Schwertfisch.

Thanks for looking

Rick

Rick, Very nicely done. Between you and Mads inspiring the handles, I can see I am going to need to get busy and make some myself. I’ll check out the Schwertfisch line. I like those German tools. LOL

Hi Rick,
Yes you made some really nice handles to those rasps, looking really nice, and a pleasure to use.
Congratulation on the beautiful set you now own.
Best of my thoughts,
Mads

Very inspiring. Much better than the broom sticks that I used for mine. Another project on the list. Thanks.

Best,

Serge

Nice Handles!
I have to learn turning my own handles.

I bought my first block plane at Dick’s.
Superb!
