For our extended family Christmas gift exchange this year, we were each asked to bring something that cost less than $10, something that anyone from age 10 to 80 might like to have. I decided that everybody has a use for a small box, so I made one out of quarter-inch thick red oak, with a little walnut handle. I joined the corners with box joints made on a box joint jig I made years ago from a Woodsmith magazine article. This box is just big enough to hold 3×5 index cards.

Welcome to Lumberjocks!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice box. I like the dovetail joints. That really sets it off! thanks for sharing.
It would also make a nice recipe box.
